Some people have pointed this out to me...now I could just ring VW but I'm lazy...I admit it. So as I'm on here I will ask.... 1. Now I have a new engine do I need any documentation as people said it wont match my car No. or something...this true? 2. Do you think I would get additional warranty on t...

Re: Another Happy Scirocco Day!
What a nightmare...always sweetness and light, then they dropped it off. (I live near them so they chose to do that as a gesture) Firstly there was a banging sound from the engine and it was shaking all over the place once I started it, then I took it for a quick drive the clutch was vibrating like ...

Re: Another Happy Scirocco Day!
I never experienced any misfires at all. One minute all was fine, the next minute it was chugging like it had been on 60 a day. As long as its under warranty I am not too bothered. VW have been very good and I have been told my car will be ready Friday so thats 7 days from dropping it off on Satruda...

Another Happy Scirocco Day!
I just got the news that my 1 year old 1.4 160PS Scirocco has got to have its engine replaced! When I bought the car last year I drove 100 yards the engine light came on, took it straight back...new injector needed. It was 2nd hand and only had 6k miles on the clock...ex demo. Covered under warranty...

Re: Hair Line Scratches
I gave it a go with some neat Lusso car shampoo and elbow grease. It has not removed the scratches but has removed the dirt in them. If your willing to come to Essex (Romford) then maybe early next year we could have a chat about it as I am looking for someone to do a good once over on the my Roc an...

Re: Misty windscreen
I find its very misty when I 1st get in it in the mornings but once its gone (takes about 3-4 mins) I do tend to keep the fan switch on 1 most of the time as it does mist up a tiny bit when I am driving.

Re: Pah! Who needs diesel :)
My drive up the A12, M11, M25 during rush hour in my 1.4 160 provided me with a rather tasty 48mpg. I am pretty surprised that I am getting such high mpg's considering I used to have a 2ltr Fsi Audi A4 that supposedly gave me 'diesel' performance. The only performance it gave me was a dull uninteres...

Re: Interior mats - What are best?
I have the rubber ones for winter driving which stops the worst of the slush and crap over the winter months and swap over to carpet ones from about spring time.

Re: Be Prepared
If you buy a white car you gotta expect to clean it a lot if you want to keep it shiny. Even in good weather. When its clean though.....it really is the best colour IMO for the Roc.

Re: Hair Line Scratches

Thats the best I can do. Looks pretty bad the more I look at it. Not sure what has done it. Could be the dirt off the road or VW garage cleaning it with dirty water from daily clean when it was in the showroom.

Hair Line Scratches
I cleaned my car for the 1st time on Saturday. I bought it 2nd hand off the dealer and got it last Thursday. Anyway, all was well with the finish that I could see except around the curved edges of the rear bumper. Its got really thin scratches. Hardly visable but there is dirt in them so they do sho...
