I had "fun" last winter; with average temperatures of minus 7 I thought I'd have trouble getting in the car so decided to keep some anti-freeze in the boot, only to find that my boot had frozen shut too...

Did your dealer know about the modified wiper arm. When I was booking my car in for the service I was chatting to the service manager and he knew nothing about the wiper smear issue on the Scirocco, but would look into it. He did say they modify the tension on wiper arms all the time across the vw ...

Not noticed this with my salsa red - after almost 2 months, the paint looks great with a deep shine. Every car will get tiny scratch marks when you wash it, could it be the supa-guard?

I don't understand the hate for this colour, it's fine (it's no red, though)

My 25 mile journey to and from work includes.... city, dual carriageway, A roads, a single track road and a village (with hills and fantastic scenery too) so I'm pleased to be getting around 37mpg, which is actually better than my last too cars which both had smaller engines.
