I am like on the other side of the world haha, I live in a small village a good 20 miles south of Glasgow. There are some pretty decent driving roads down towards Dumfries etc through the Southern Uplands, the B740 from Douglas to Sanquar through Crawfordjohn is one of my favourite roads ever, starts as a huge straight section of the old motorway that you can easily max your car on, not that you would of course! Then it turns off onto this amazingly smooth twisting and undulating drive about 10 miles long. It wont be a patch on some of the stuff you will drive on but its easily the best piece of road where im from. Apart from that it is just disappointing town and farm roads with really poor surfacingIt isn't so bad just now in the Rav 4 but once those huge tires and spongy suspension go its going to be a nightmare lol
