First time I gave it the full beans in 2nd and 3rd to see what the acceleration was really like. The parp from the exhaust on the upshifts was the icing on the cake.

At the moment, the best moment was yesterday in town. There were polish tourists outside our spectacular cathedral taking photos of my scirocco

Mine would be on the motorway just after I'd had it - an estate car passed me and the passenger in the back was turning to look at my car so much they smacked their head against the window. Made me smile!

Probably the amount of looks it gets and comments in the petrol station. Not so much now but when I first got it.

Also getting thumbs up from someone in a Brand New Jag XKR after he was checking it out in the lane next to me.

I was driving my partner's Candy White up through Tottenham the other week, and some dude in a really smart Focus RS leant out and gave us the thumbs up whilst we at the lights. It made us grin for the next 20 minutes at least.

Here's my top 5...

1. This weekend had a girl leave her phone number on the windscreen.
2. Last week a guy in a focus RS stopped and asked what i thought of the roc cause it looked 'the nuts'.
3. Had a van driver accidently go over a spped bump at about 40mph as he was too busy checking out the roc.
4. Had a porsche 911 driver check my car out.
5. Taking both of the rocs to the petrol station for a refil at the same time. Caused quite a stir.

Mine was when I collected.
The moment my dealer whipped off the giant silk dust sheet to reveal that gorgeous hunk of metal, leather and horsepower that was mine...mine...all mine.
Back in April they were even rarer on the road than they are now and all I'd seen up to that point was the demo I'd driven back in January and one other a couple of weeks before.
I'd read so much on the forums though and looked at so many pics that I was chomping at the bit to get mine. Sounds corny but to see mine appear almost out of thin air like that gave me the biggest grin ever.

So far it hasn't disappointed.
It still gets loads of attention but it's driving it that puts the grin on my face now.
