Re: MP3 player connection problems

Hi all, I've also had the DEV W/OUT FUNCTION error intermittently using my iPod Nano. It crops up on occasion, despite the iPod being attached and working previously. It's the process of swapping from DAB or FM that cases it in my instance. So .... 1) have you tried a different mp3 player/USB in the...

Not in showrooms, but on the driveway. PM me and I'll drop you the postcode and my mobile. There's 3 here up Greenhithe, Rising Blue, Candy White and Deep Black. Visit us, then go shopping! If you can make it here Friday night, you can see all 3 before the weekend, otherwise it'll have to be Tuesday...

Dealer Warranty Work

Hi everyone, Just collected my Roc from the dealers. It had to have the drivers seat cover replaced due to the stitching becoming frayed, although to be honest, it may have been caused by some jeans I have with zips at the back. But never the less VW said it should not have frayed after just...

Re: Long Wave Radio - yes I know, but it's for TMS!!!

Well I'm confused - the AM frequency range on my RCD-510 does not extend down to the 198KHz needed to receive Radio 4 LW - It only seems to cover the MW frequency range (down to 530KHz) Is there an option/setting to extend the reception range? AM isn't just MW, it covers LW, and the AM 720 = the ol...

Re: Long Wave Radio - yes I know, but it's for TMS!!!

Yes, you can pick up R4 LW on the AM on the car. R5 Sports Xtra has uninterupted coverage, but that's only available for us DAB users. If I recall, it's down at the lower end of the number range. Formally, Medium Wave is only available in some locations: London 720; Plymouth 774; Hayle (Cornwall) 75...

Re: What MPG are you 140 owners getting ?

You'll never get 55......

I manage 45 - 50 depending on what type of drive it is.

Motorways at 70 (Well as close to 70 as I can force myself) return 50 or thereabuts]

Anything else and the right foot takes over and it's 45 at best.

I run a standard 140 TDi (for now)

I hate the fact that the 170 Tdi was launched a month after I ordered my 140. Expletive deleted!

My lad christened the car with a small "bladder malfunction" on sunday.

Hopefully the cloth will clean up OK.
Anyone got any good tips for cleaning the fabric seats?

Re: Good roads for driving in South East of England?

A blast from TunbridgeWells to Ashford is always fun. A262 / A28

Then pop down from Ashford to Rye. A2070 / A259

After that, another blast back up to Tenterden on the B2082

Stop at pub for a beer and to wipe bugs off bonnet.
