Personally, I think it's got to be Candy White all the way. Whilst Rising Blue is a great colour in itself, I think the white just suits the Roc better - it looks much crisper.

Yeh i know what you mean, im finding myself swaying towards it the more i see it in white!

Just dont want to have that moment when i finally see a blue one and think Nooooooooo i like that better, too late then :/

How you finding the 1.4 (160) fella, does it feel powerful enough for the roc? Thats what im looking to get, along with Interlagos/fogs/tints/multifuntion steering wheel

True - so all I've got to go on is the test drive. I took it out for about an hour on dual-carriageway and country roads and I thought the performance was good - not hair raising but still nice and eager. At the end of the day, whilst I would have loved to get the 2.0, stretching to the extra moolah was never going to be an option for me and I really wanted a Scirocco, for obvious reasons.

I reasoned with myself that performance is on a par with my last car and handling is excellent for its class, whilst economy and emissions were far better - plus it fulfils the 'it's a Roc' criteria even without the 2.0 engine - so that's why I went with it in the end.

Since then, I've been reassured through this community that if I end up longing for the extra performance, I can take a blat down the Daventry road to Revo and in a few minutes, get me and extra 60 horses for considerably less than a 2.0...

Well i havent had a long test drive in one, literally 5 mins!

Ive currently got an ibiza FR which had a revo map on it (about 210bhp from 150), was the best £500 ive ever spent.

So thats my theory too, it will be a step down in terms of power, but then the option is always there ;)

Cant beleive how hard it is to find a rising blue locally, no dealers within 50 miles has one....

You prob already have but have you tried looking on autotrader? Any being sold second hand you could go have a look at? I am not to far from good old 7oaks use to go to The Black Boy, Oak tree all the time back in the day :). But I ain't got my Roc yet or ordered Rising Blue ;)

edit: Just had a look and there seems to be a few 2nd hand ones in Haywards Heath VW garage about 25 miles from 7oaks!

Well I'm going to be bias, but I much prefer Rising Blue! Every other one you see on the road is a Candy the blue is a really striking colour. If I lived closer to you I'd have let you come and have a look at mine but I'm about 200 miles away!

There's 3 here up Greenhithe, Rising Blue, Candy White and Deep Black. Visit us, then go shopping!

If you can make it here Friday night, you can see all 3 before the weekend, otherwise it'll have to be Tuesday
