Can be done,loads have done it with the mk5 GTI,i.e fitted the mk6 Steering wheel not cheap tho. Better to find a later model if you can stretch a bit further.

Tilt & slide seats.
Any one had to use some sort of lube on the runners?. :D Used my rear seats for the first time in ages over the weekend & seats felt quite stiff when pushing them forward. Got WD40 & GT85 & a can of spray grease but thought that might end up all over the carpet & that WD40 & GT85...

Nothing wrong with washing mits or micro fibres in the washing machine. I use a non bio liquid & a little of that stain remover stuff if needed. You can also add white vinegar to the wash powder draw if you like aswell.

Try one of those gel type oven cleaners,put some in a thick plastic bag & secure over the tail pipes with a rubber band or plastic strapping.

The parts required are easy to get from dealers. If it's just the black trim & the crystal indicator less than 40.00 quid if i remember correct ?.

Dont forget the ''offical vw position'' for the centre cap is to have the ''w pointing towards the tyre vale. I kid you not.

Some of the aftermarket in dash ones have better features & cheaper. Got a Pioneer in mine & has bluetooh built in,speed cameras,points of interest etc & dvd in motion.
