Like the front, new wing mirror caps, alloys, increased power but cannot get on with the back.
New diffuser design would have been nice with a quad exhaust ala golf R.
I just don't like those weird 'slits' cut into the back...
Wouldn't say no to one though;)

"The dials, the dials!..."
Apart from that, the interior, which was always a little bland and staid, is really beginning to fall behind similar priced competition.
In all other respects, prefer the facelift, especially in black and rising blue.

Actually looks OK but my £33k would go on a Golf R
Re: Facelift Scirocco R VW Wrexham
Local dealer is offering a new R with pano and couple of other options (e.g., cruise) for a shade under 30K, though have to say, however, that the Golf R or a S3 would be the way forward for me now. Preferred the mk6 steering wheel, mind.Cuprabob wrote:Actually looks OK but my £33k would go on a Golf R

7 speed DSG on a 2.0 litre? Is that a change or a typo?

I quite like it but will have to see it in the flesh to make my mind up
Still going strong =)

Yes - I think these cars look better in the flesh, the photos don't really do them justice. I saw a facelift version for the first time just under 2 weeks ago and it did look pretty good. But it is still not a big enough change to get me to swap.

Re: Facelift Scirocco R VW Wrexham
The Scirocco has always had an ugly rear end, sad to see they have done nothing to improve it, putting a few vents in the rear bumper just makes it look cheap.
The front looks good, I like the lights and lower lip.
The interior.....did the nav display just get smaller?

Re: Facelift Scirocco R VW Wrexham
They haven't shifted it yet. It was there when I got my tyres last saturday. Not a fan of the back. Bit too sharp compared to the other lines.

In Germany I spotted one on the move and agree about the back as the light realy highlights that sharp new creaseKev wrote:They haven't shifted it yet. It was there when I got my tyres last saturday. Not a fan of the back. Bit too sharp compared to the other lines.

Re: Facelift Scirocco R VW Wrexham
I got one exact same one, too bad our specs does not come with bluetooth and paddle shifters
thats the downside for me.
But if it were to have both of these.. it would be perfection~
