Nearly time for me to think about ordering my next scirocco. to arrive just before I have to start extending my driving licence for the first time, so ill just have to carry on growing old disgracefully, :lol: I have had a number of coupes over the years as I like them, and I really like the scirocc...

I also think that the merc one is the nearest but I would not try to spray it, if its just the rim wheel off and use a brush dabbing lightly, others on here may come up with a better way but that's what I did, not invisible but acceptable is what you will get.

Hi wonder if anyone can tell me the size of the centre wheel caps be it 50 55 or 60 mm I have lost one and just intend to get a set off ebay or amazon but I cant find any were it gives the size for a scirocco with 17" doningtons on just golfs etc, could go to a dealer but I think it was damaged...

Hi i have found when closeing the bonnet that the holder is very lose fitting to the bonnet rod, what i do is wrap a small bit of rag round the rod were it clips in so it stops any rattle and i always have a bit of rag to take the oil level.

Think its about 41 - 42 mpg on mine that's after 12,000 mls and driven carefully, any heavy footed acceleration will cost !!!!! as in any car. the 122 may be the lowest powered scirocco but its still no slouch.

Always buy what you feel is you, anything else will always be second best. I will be leasing another scirocco next July, because it just ticks all the boxes, for both my wife and me.

God that looks like a basic DIY job, has it been stuck on or what!!! if you like the car that much get the price down for that reason, but there are other less problem cars around and it may pay to just keep looking.

You were lucky to get them to pay for them, if I forget to take them off, I just respray them after my first run in with this problem. bought some off ebay and they didn't fit due to different size lock nuts being used.

Back in the good old days WD 40 used to be good for sunroof leaks and squeaks, so worth a try.
