Re: Golf MK 5 R32 & Scirocco 2.0 GT
Ive just swapped from a 54 plate A3 3.2 v6 quattro sline dsg which was essentially a Mk5 R32 badged up as an Audi. It was a fantastic car and as youve said the engine sounds fantastic with low down torque thats astonishing. I drove a brand new r32 when i was looking for a new car but have to admit i...

Re: Autoperfection - who we are!
Right then,
Firstly should we start a list of who would be intrested? and where your based so as we can work out a suitable location? Maybe we could tie a RR shootout day in with this sometime over the summer?

Re: 1000 mile oil change
Guys, engines and gearboxes are now machined with much better internal tolerances and finishes, hence the days of being stuck behind a car with a big poster saying "Running In-Please Pass By" are long gone. This is why modern engines also run on much thinner oils. Changing the engine oil t...

You can control the temperature its just that its via an analogue dial rather than a digital display. Simple air con is either on or off.

Re: Anyone wish they'd ordered another colour ?
I ve ordered mine in black and i had a change of mind a couple of weeks ago and really fancied the white. The stealer wouldnt let me change it though as mine had gone to "build confirmed". The only way round it would have been to cancel my order and replace it for a new one but this would ...

Good point that, an off red would look naff. Maybe still worth trying though as the difference may be so subtle that the human eye couldnt tell the difference.

Re: Standard sports seats
I must admit i prefer the cloth to the leather. Ive ordered mine in the cloth as i just liked the look and feel of it a litle bit more. Besides the £1400 that it saved left a fair chunk of money for options etc. Ive had a fair few cars with lumbar support now from Golfs to S3's and a variety of Ford...

There water marks because you didnt leather off/dry the car. Water is a solvent and as such it contains all sorts of impurities which are left behind and leave these marks when the water evaporates. Next time make sure you dry the car asap after washing with a leather or good quality terry towels. ...

Adding to the above and about not polishing new/soft paint.......Autoglym Extra loss Protection is ideal here as its completely non arasive and doesnt contain any cleansers, its applied with no pressure to prevent swirls/scratching of the topcoat. Mine will be getting treated to it as soon as it arr...

Re: Removing remenance of stickers
try to avoid using Fairy liquid on your car at all times, it contains salt amongst some other pretty powerfull degreasents which arent the best for bodywork. If you everrun out of car wash then use a shampoo (just not shampoo and conditioner) as its not that disssimilar and doesnt contain all the ha...

Cheers fellas, The dealers told me that my car should be ready some time in May so i guess its a case of phoning them a couple of weeks before to make sure all is present and accounted for.
