I can confirm that the aeriel is embedded into both rear quarter windows, as they had to be replaced in mine inside the first 2 months as my radio couldnt hold onto a station signal.

There is a VW Sticker fitted to the inside pillar of the driver side door, giving the model and deatails of the car (i.e. 200ps in the petrol.) Also, under the boot cover by the spare wheel, a VW manufactureres sticker will denote what model you have too

Ive popped along to Halfrauds today as my '57 plate Jetta needs new wiper blades, and would you believe they are 'Order Only' with the same fitting as a..you guessed it Scirocco. Sames replacement part model. That is Interesting!

SLCW - I think that the other projector is for when you turn corners and only come on when you steer (lights up the bend as you turn) Im sure someone with them can advise you more.

Jc74 on here had the same problem with his 'Roc. They fitted parking sensors at the dealer and ballsed it up and created a blind spot! Factory fit all the way

ABN1C - I had a Golf Mk5 GTTdi with roughly the same engine (It was the PD nor CR version that you have) and the diesels get very hot, and yes on a hot day or a long 'excitable' drive, the fan would stay on for a good 5 minutes after you get in. Perfectly normal. I would check your oil regularly too...
