Scirocco Headlights

Post by SLCW »

Hi,

I am a newbie to the thread so I am hoping for some assistance please - not too sure if this query has been raised before.

I just picked up my Scirocco 2.0TSI and I am trying hard to figure out all the functions.

On the bi-xenons on each side, there are 2 projectors each - one outermost projector for the main light (which I have no issues turning on) and another projector closest to the grille that does not seem to light up because I can't seem to find the switch!

Can anybody kindly help me out?

SLCW - I think that the other projector is for when you turn corners and only come on when you steer (lights up the bend as you turn) Im sure someone with them can advise you more.

The inner pair of lights are not projectors or Xenons unfortunately, they are halogen day time running lights. The factory default is for these lamps to be on at all times unless the dusk sensor senses it's getting dark and then the Xenons kick in and the DRL go off. If you do not have the inner pair of DRL lights on as standard then they have been disabled. As the Xenons are very white the halogen DRL look a bit pants in comparison so if they have been switched off i wouldn't worry.

Thank you - I am driving a Scirocco 2.0 TSI and there are two projectors on each side. One projector emits the white xenon light and the second projector (which is nearest to the central grille of the car) has a bulb implanted too.

So I am wondering how come it (i.e. the halogen light bulbs??) do not light up when I turn the main lights or even the fog lamps on?

I live in Singapore so I am not sure if it comes disabled straight from VW already.

Does anybody who has a Scirocco know?

I appreciate your support! :)
