Re: New to DSG.
I don't think it learns driving style, but I swear my car drives differently after the husband has had a go. For this reason I don't let him drive it anymore haha

Re: Noise from under the car.
It's funny you should mention fuel pump. Thinking back, it started after I filled up twice at a jet petrol station. I have only used shell diesel before this. I've now topped it up with V-power diesel and it's not happening as much. I'm going to top it up again and see what happens. Today it only se...

Noise from under the car.
Hi everyone, I'm having a really annoying issue with a high pitched whine coming from under the car. It happens when I'm moving and when sat idling. It's not related to RPM or braking, or what position the DSG is in. It sounds the loudest just under the car on the drivers side just below the drivers...

Re: Servicing. Emissions Control Service.
An emissions control service is basically where they run a dose of fuel system cleaner through it. We used to offer it at the dealers where I was a service advisor. It's useless.

Re: scirocco 2.0 TDI 140 r line: ecu remap/Adaptive Chassis
I can feel a definite difference with my adaptive chassis control. It feels like the back end has more bounce when going over smooth bumps in the road. Doesn't change the jarring feeling from going over small potholes/rough roads though. It's almost as if it lets the weight of the car rise and fall ...

Re: Bad Colour choice or not?
I have indium grey. Get loads of compliments on the colour too. I think indium makes the car look sleek. The grey golf isn't as metallic looking. Indium seems to shine more and still looks good a bit dirty.

Re: Dsg issues! Please read...
Got the car back today. It's perfect now. It had new clutch pack, the brakes stripped and cleaned. And also had the steering rack aligned and 4 wheel alignment. There's no slam/clunk/recoil feeling when stopping and the car changes into first gear at all now. Also the jolt when changing from drive t...

Re: Dsg issues! Please read...
Update; vw have replaced the clutch pack and are on with stripping the brakes down to try and sort it. Had a massive nightmare with the loan car too.. Windscreen got a stone chip, totally not my fault but had to pay the £250 excess, I kicked off about it but they said I couldn't have another loan ca...

Are you using iPhone? Mine does this when location services are running in the background.

Dsg issues! Please read...
So I've had my car for 6 weeks. In the first week I noticed that the light for reverse on the shifter didn't light up, so it went back to vw for that to be checked out. When I was there I just mentioned that I felt like the engine and transmission were jumping when it changed to first gear when stop...

Re: Diesel or not?
It's the older diesels that they aren't happy about. Apparently the emissions are more harmful to the environment than first thought. You will be fine with a new diesel because they now have the diesel particulate filter for this reason.

Re: average mpg reading seems way off expected
I don't think that sounds way off. Even at 50mph. Once your running at a constant speed mpg does seem to go up quite high. It's setting off that uses the most fuel, and your not doing that on the motorway. I wouldn't worry about it. Check it again when your around town! Haha. I have the 2.0l gt tdi ...

Re: New car DSG problem
Same issue on mine, apart from mine is the same hot or cold. It feels like it slams into first from second. Only had it a month and got it from vw. It's an 11 plate with 37k on the clock. They are replacing the mechatronics under warranty. I bet many people drive around without even worrying about t...
