Bad Colour choice or not?
Hi all, I've ordered a new R-line in indium grey, but I'm having second thoughts on the colour. When I ordered they had a Indium grey car in the showroom all clean and under spot lights and it looked great, then tonight I saw a golf on the motorway in grey and I was less than impressed!
What's peoples thoughts on indium grey? my second choice colour was rising blue.
Also has anybody changed a colour choice mid order? the cars not being built for two more weeks so I guess a colour change might be possible.
Cheers.

Whenever I have seen the grey I don't think it does this sort of car justice - the rising blue is mint, shines up really well, I think you will get more smiles per gallon in rising blue .

I like the indium grey tbh.
you could same the same with most colours though.
Soon as you get a layer of dust and dirt on the car etc then the shine goes and they all look dull.

I think Indium Grey suits the Scirocco.
Colour is so subjective. I love red cars but don't like the Scirocco in red for some reason.

I love the Indium Grey, I was originally searching for one in Rising Blue but then came across one in Grey and wondered why I was ever looking at any other colour.
I don't have any pictures of mine when dirty as i normally just take pics once i've washed it. If i get it dirty this weekend i will take a pic and upload it for you.

Re: Bad Colour choice or not?
I think IG is fine and Huttchy's looks good clean. I was personally torn between White and Rising Blue, ending up with RB which does wash up well.
I like black as well it have had 2 black cars and found them very hard to keep clean.

Re: Bad Colour choice or not?
I was thinking the same when I ordered my new one, having previously owned a white Rocco. However since taking delivery of my indium grey one I have had so many compliments. Pair the Indium grey with black alloys and it works a treat.
I personally hate the rising blue as it reminds me of a match box car and when dirty looks like a pair of old primary school gym trainers.
Stay classy.
However I do recommend the Xenons if you can stretch that far. A) you get LED running lights and B) the lights are far better especially with the cornering function.

It was the indium grey that made me want mine! Ended up seeing a pewter grey and buying that instead

Re: Bad Colour choice or not?
I have indium grey. Get loads of compliments on the colour too. I think indium makes the car look sleek. The grey golf isn't as metallic looking. Indium seems to shine more and still looks good a bit dirty.

Re: Bad Colour choice or not?
Cheers. I probably will end up sticking with the Indium grey, I sure I will love it. I didn't opt for the Xenons when I ordered the car, I know they are good but I couldn't bring myself to pay £1020 for better headlights. Met paint, cruise, folding mirrors added almost £1000 to my order.Jnorgate wrote:I was thinking the same when I ordered my new one, having previously owned a white Rocco. The grey does look sweet!
White and black are a bit boring now, I do like rising blue though.
Great help I'm sure! Haha
