Re: Deciphering VW's oil change instructions.
Correct the oil in the filter housing flows into the sump when you untighten the filter+cap+spindle. On the end of the spindle sits an o-ring that blocks of this port when the filter is installed.

Re: Water Leak In Boot (Please help)
On mine I had 2 leaks from the cabin air vents in both corners in the boot. The seals around it can start to leak.
I also had a leak on top of the wheel arch on a connector. I think where normally the dcc shocks electronics are wired through.
And the antenna on the roof, maybe worth to check.

If you start it cold it’s quite loud but as soon as you put it in drive the sound goes away.

Re: Blowing cold air only :(
What happens when you crank up the heat to 30 C?
TDI should have an additional electric heater also that will kick in if you ask a lot of heat.
You can check thé temperature sensors with vcds.

Other possibility could be high pressure fuel pump leaking fuel into your engine block oil.

Check if you hear a rattling noise when you cold start the engine in neutral or park. If you are looking for an automatic transmission, also check it to shift smoothly.

Re: continuing to drive after taking foot off accelerator
If you let it in gear it will just slowly come to a stop.
In neutral it will slow down even less fast.
Also the road gradiënt is a big factor, if you are running down a slope my engine is sometimes stationary and needs to engage the brakes to not overspeed.

Re: continuing to drive after taking foot off accelerator
That is normal with dsg, it will coast when you lift the accelerator pedal completely.
