Not sure as it's confined to Golf drivers to be honest, seems as though these days there are many a motorist who seem to want to prove a point regardless of the make of their vehicle. Had 3 Sciroccos since their launch back in '08, now in a GTI MK7 PP and will always have a soft spot for the 'Roc......

Cheers Salsajoe, to be fair to VW I've been lucky and that's the only significant issue I've had over the last 6 years. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts? The unit failed to switch on, VW have cured that fault but now advise they can't turn it off when removing the ignition.

Hope they managed to sort it for you Ben, know the feeling as it was really starting to get on my nerves. Feels a different car now and hardly notice the engine noise as being intrusive (although I do still miss my 2 litre TSI, but not it's fuel bills).
