End of an era

Post by ricchester »

Well folks, today's the day. After 3 Sciroccos and nearly 6 years of Scirocco ownership it's time for a change. Have had an intermittent fault in my Jan 2014 GT Bluemotion having transferred (via VW) the RNS 510 from my first Scirocco, which VW sadly, despite their best efforts, have been unable to diagnose.

I'm a bit like a kid at Christmas as the guys at Inchcape Altrincham (who have been fantastic in their efforts to help) have sourced a replacement car for me, although not a Scirocco. Can't wait for this afternoon when I'll become a proud owner of a MK7 Golf GTI Performance Pack.

Thanks for the advice and interesting topics over the years and have fun in your Skyrockets...

Sorry about your troubles. Hope you enjoy your new motor. My Mk6 gti has been virtually fault free and does what it says in the book. Perhaps see you on the golf forum?

Cheers Salsajoe, to be fair to VW I've been lucky and that's the only significant issue I've had over the last 6 years. Have really enjoyed the cars, just somehow managed an offer from VW that I couldn't refuse. It'll be interesting to see what 2017 brings with a new Scirocco, or a Corrado possibly?
