Waaaaay outside of my budget sadly but happened to come across a Scirocco R ex demonstrator 59 plate in Rising Blue up for grabs at a dealership.
Won't put the full dealer link on here for fear of advertising etc however I'd say that the Scirocco R seems to be developing a good 'Heritage'. No idea if still available but imagine it will sell rather quickly if it hasn't already!!!
Anyone fancy a Scirocco R ex demonstrator?

There are now 2 R's on the VW used car locator online.
1 in Slough - White.
1 in Ayr - Silver.
Both under 50 miles on the clock!!! 10 plates.
Mine is built this week. Can't wait.

My dealer has a scirroco r & a golf arrive this week. Mine us built just awaiting shipping now. Dealer
reckons about 10 to 14 days before I will be driving it. Am going to gave a look a both r's this weekend.
The salesperson said that the scirroco r sounds alot better than the golf r. Intresting :-)

I popped into the Slough VW dealer to have a look at the R in white.
Turns out that they have 3 R's all high spec in stock.
I even managed to get a test drive in their new demonstrator, only 25 miles on the clock.
i must admit that i was surprised at how different a beast this car is, so much so that i think i may have to get one!!!
The throttle map seems to change quite significantly when you change the ACC selection, especially in SPORT mode as the accelerator pedal gets very sensitive to small movements.
The Noise is probably perfect, not to loud but just enough, well for me anyway.
All you waiting for your R's will not be disappointed.

ACC doesn't affect the throttle map (on any Scirocco). Been discussed and discounted many times before. Only the shocker stiffness and steering weight (Sport mode only) is affected.
