Alarm LED on drivers door on solid after looking

Hi everyone This morning I locked the car as usual but I noticed that the alarm LED on the drivers door stayed on instead of flashing for a short time. I’ve read that this is indicating a fault with the central locking system or alarm system. I tested the deadlocks and they are working fine (I locke...

Spare wheel plastic bolt in boot

Hi everyone A bit of a random one.... The other day I started noticing a metallic rattle coming from the rear of the car while driving over small bumps in the road. Thankfully it's not broken suspension, it is instead the spare wheel moving around the boot. The plastic bolt that keeps the wheel in p...

Re: P2015 fault code..

I got a new inlet manifold fitted. Cost around £700 for part and labour at an independent garage. I was putting it off as VW dealer said it needed doing at around 60K miles (and I didn't trust them TBH!), finally got EML at 70K. I would just get it done, even though it costs quite a bit. The car hes...

Re: My 2011 2.0 TSI in Rising Blue

Next up is an oil change and I'll look into the fuel lines rattle. Meanwhile, here's a quick 0-140kmh run. 0-100kmh timed at approx. 6.5s. Not bad for a manual. Love it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REE2eGjWjEc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Not bad! At what RPM does th...

Re: IPhone 5s

I have this problem too. Try quitting all apps then open spotify and it should work. Also I tend to plug it in after head unit turns on. If you plug it in before it seems to get a bit confused

Re: iPhone 5s + iOS 8.4 + Lightning MDI = Audio drop-outs?

I had a similar issue, I think it has to do with Apple Music. Have you tried quitting all of your apps, specifically music apps, before plugging in? Only open your music app after you've plugged it in. I've also found it sometimes doesn't work if you plug it in before the head unit is turned on. Min...

I have a similar issue, when it went in to the dealer to get another issue resolved they couldn't find any problem with the wastegate which is what I thought it was.

Re: Paranoid

I'm paranoid too!! But I try not to think about it to be honest.
I do park in the less busy part of the car park to minimise the chance of anything but at the end of the day so many things can go wrong on the road, stone chips are the least of your worries!!

Re: Can't get comfy!

I find it hard to believe anyone finding the scirocco not comfy. I'm 6'4" and it's the most comfy car I've been in. I don't even need to put the seat back as far as it goes!! I previously drove a corsa C which made me feel a wee bit like donkey kong in Mario kart. It was also the 5 door so if ...

Try turning off your air con, my compressor was faulty and made whining noises that I could hear in 2nd but not in 3rd or above
