Re: Intake manifold sensor issue

Agreed, I'd definitely take the replacement, especially if they're offering it under those terms.

Re: A few niggles

I get this on the passenger side with the Mrs constantly saying she can hear a lot of wind noise (but not feel it, oddly). Also getting a really really infuriating rattle from that door in particular. No idea how to fix it I'm afraid but at least you know you're not the only one. Ill have it in the ...

Yeah I'm after these exact wheels, not on air though :/

Been told by 3sdm they're looking at a November release on the 19s :)

Re: Belgian deep black rocco. Carbon dashboard

Yeah I have to admit I wasn't too sure on carbon wrapping but that does look good.

And it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the black 'R' trim kit from the dealers, good job Nick#72!!!

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Did a bit of shameless picture whoring then took the front wheels off trying to find the source of some mysterious rubbing. Turns out I need bigger spacers, or narrower tyres, or both!

This car is a money pit!

Re: Rattly bag of spanners....

Mines a nightmare at the minute, I've had (and cured) the tailgate rattle, now I've got the wastegate rattle, the windscreen rattle, another one that sounds like its coming from the passenger door but I can't be sure and I drove the other day with both the sun blinds down and they were kicking off a...

Re: Potential warranty time bomb, 2.0 TSi engine.

How long ago was this? Was it an easy enough fix and did they give you any advice on how to prevent it or anything? Mines still not sorted, booked in for Monday though meanwhile its costing a fortune in fuel :/

Is it not part of the 'soundaktor' system? I've been thinking of getting rid of the thing to quieten down some cabin noise.

Potential warranty time bomb, 2.0 TSi engine.

Right I think I've finally got to the bottom of my random problem that I originally blamed on Tesco fuel. (Sorry Tescos!) The service guy at the dealer told me that VAGCOM had pointed out an 'intake manifold fault',tried to blame it on my Neuspeed P-flo, yeah right, and sent me on my way. Anyway the...

Re: Intake manifold sensor issue

I'm pretty sure this is the problem I've now got. I'd just filled up so I was convinced it was tesco fuel but the diagnostics apparently point to an 'intake manifold fault' the car is dead lumpy on cold start up and the fuel consumption is all over the place with flat spots every now and then. I've ...

Re: Bolt-shot bootlid stopper nearly took my son out

This happened to me as well, luckily the dealer replaced them under warranty. Since then I've been treating them with a product I picked up back in Germany a couple of harsh winters ago. I cant remember the name of it but I'm sure it's made by sonax. Basically a liquid you use to treat the rubber do...

Indium Grey, craving that deep, wet shine.

Finally caught the detailing bug and spent over 4 hours sorting my car out yesterday :) I would have taken lots of pics and put them up of course but no sooner had I finished the rain started to come down and the nice man on the industrial law mower on camp came past, covering it in little blades of...

Random CAT fault, or was it the fuel?

Just filled up my tank with 99 RON fuel from tesco and immediately the "catalytic converter fault" light came on. Very very random and a little weird, it's the first time I've used that fuel and it came on as soon as I pulled away from the petrol station, a coincidence or is there ...

No idea what it's for mate but I noticed mine was hanging off a couple of months back when I went up a ramp in a multistorey car park with a bit too much enthusiasm!

Just pulled it off and binned it to be honest.
