Re: Horn delay

Very strange so many are having this issue. Mine is completely fine. No delay or at least no different in terms of response time to any other car I've owned... Could have something to do with LHD / RHD version of the car. Seems odd

Re: MAX SPEED

The indicator auto blink happens every time when you brake hard regardless of what speed you are breaking from... at least on the german version of the car

Re: 1.4 "squeaking" problem putting me off now!

I had the problem and 3 weeks ago, I had a new part installed. Haven't heard it since, but honestly I would buy the car again if I had to chose. It's not as a big a deal as it sounds...

Re: Windscreen Issues

I have the exact same problem. After 1 year of ownership the windshield is really badly scratched. Sure, some minor dings are related to chips on the highway, but I already have 4 serious arc scratches that are obviously done by the wipers + plus a whole bunch of smaller ones which aren't as bad.. S...

Re: Front Camber and Tyre wear??

My Michelin's have about 10.5k miles on them and they have little thread left... Once it gets a little warmer and I put them on, I'll give them another 2-3k miles and change them...

A bit disappointed honestly

Re: 1.4 160PS vs 2.0 210PS

I got my 1.4 because it has enough power not to feel sluggish and also has good fuel economy. My old car had 2.3 turbo engine (222hp) and it just cost too much in petrol. Honestly, didn't want to take the chance... In the end I wanted a car I could actually afford to drive as much as I like! I know ...

Re: Warm Time of a 1.4TSi?

I was thinking the same thing this morning and actually looked how long it took to get the water to 90 degree - about 12-13 minutes. Outside temp was around 0.

Seems a bit slow to warm up. My last car took about 4-5 min. to get to 90 degree in the winter...

try with fiscon... you get a bluetooth handsfree, some useful readings (oil temp), and it all works through the MFD and the steering wheel controls

YES!!!! Same problem. This happens for me only in the summer when i get warm in the car. Once cold starts blowing through the vents they regain "grip" and work as normal... Still its kinda of annoying, thought about talking to the service shop about I but never got around to it and now its...

Re: Speedo shows way off

using the climatronic diagnostic display. the km/h reading is practically the same as the gps (+/- 1 km/h). So the car seems to have a very accurate idea of the speed... kind of a mystery why the hell VW chose to create such a big discrepancy (my spedo is about 7% over that reading)

Re: Speedo shows way off

Do you have any idea if the car is using the speedo reading or the internal reading to calculate the distance traveled, consumption, etc.

Re: Speedo shows way off

Mine seems to be of by about 7-8%. Bear in mind that the GPS may not be a 100% accurate either (especially going up or down a slope)
