Re: Door noise

Had a look at the drivers door today, I think the creaking noise I'm hearing is from the B pillar trim that the seat belt goes into. The trim seems to be a bit loose, cars going into the garage on Tuesday for them to look at these problems. Not impressed with the build quality now that the car is g...

Re: Poor Colour Selection

Those colours from the web site are really off. I remeber seeing the Summatra one and thinking shit (litterally) what have I done as I orderd my car unseen going by the paint samples in the dealership. Weirdly Summatra is closer than anything to the Pewter colour on the site. Summatra is dark gun me...

Five months in and my merlin interior is holding up well. No visible signs of wear at all.

Yep, two months for a warrenty replacement seat back.
One upside as it was not something I had broken I got some compensation for the wait!

Hi Hell-boy.
I would be interested to see some pics of the inside, ay you have an option you can't get in the UK, but it was on some of the review cars.
Good colour choice as well, although it is a bit of a bugger to keep clean. Enjoy!

Re: What else you considered

does the bike mountain bike fit in (minus front wheel)? not tried mine yet Getting my bike in is mostly a measure of how practical the car is. I have not tried yet either, as it is too chuffin cold to want to go out on my bike at the moment. I have had the seats down and there is a surprising amoun...

Re: Sumatra v Pewter Grey

Great pic and a brave choice without having seen it first. Got to say I am a fan of the darker side and well happy with my deep black pearl but the sumatra does look good. I would like to see the two parked next to each other to compare properly. I have got to say though that the pewter looks like ...

Re: What else you considered

I was replacing an A3 2.0T sportback quattro. I was set on buying a TT but Hatfield Audi were so mind bogglingly uninterested in selling me a car I gave up on the idea. Oh and I could never get an answer to the question how do I get my mountain bike in it! Also I see dozens of them every day almost ...

Re: Fiscon Pro - again

I don't know about installers I have just ordered one of these. I was planning to run the cable for the microphone under the window seal in front of the airbag. Be interested to know what people think of this as a plan. Other than this the installation looks easy. Famous last words!

Re: Teething Issues

Having had my car for three days the dealer now tells me that they cannot get the seat parts from VW and they can't give them a delivery date the parts have to come from Portugal. So I have got my car back but it is still not fixed. Off to have a moan at VW customer services. I wounder how much help...

Re: Teathing Issues

Well, The drivers seat jammed folded forwards the day after I picked the car up fortunatly it did this when parked outside my house. After 20 minuets of fiddleing managed to unjam it. Took it to the dealer next day and they jammed it so off I went in a loan car got it back the next day unjammed. Now...

Re: Connecting an iPod/iPhone via MDI

Is the iPod connector an optional extra if you already have opted for RCD510? I guess that it depends on the country you are in. UK models come with the Ipod cable and a USB cable. In Europe there appear to be more options available and this might be different. Also, does anyone know if there is a ...
