I’d go for the ED30 for the extra power and space.

Standard 2.0 tsi rather than a mapped 1.4, less likely to have engine trouble.

DSG for me! I don't think I'd buy a manual car again, with the exception of a classic, but i would also not buy a traditional torque converter auto.... which pretty much ties me in to owning cars with dual clutch gearboxes.

I did unblock the small drain pipe under the fuel filler, took less than a minute

Opened a box with a set of Eibach lowering springs in it, starred at them for a minute and decided I can't be bothered to fit them today.... Nice job for a day off next week!
