I experienced the same problem with mine, such a scary moment especially if you're nearly out of fuel (luckily I wasn't), you just need to re-lubricate the locking mechanism, I used WD40 and sprayed it on then opened/closed a few times for the WD40 to get into the mechanism and lubricate it all and ...

I had this same issue where the engine judders sometimes very aggressively when accelerating from junctions/lights etc, it's a common fault with the 1.4 TSI 160's where the clutch pack wears out very quick, they did mine under warranty and had the car for a few days. Did a complete full detail on my roc today for the first time after reading about claying on here, clay, polish then waxed, didn't manage to get pics as it started raining just before I finished (typical incorrect weather forecasts) so still got the front bumper to wax.

car looks very nice! just wondering where did you find those fog light grill deletes ? Thanks I think the guy who bought the car from new before I got it didn't go for the fog light extras as they were like that when I bought it unmodified. Dammit .. Struggling to find where to get them from. Cheer...
