Re: Wing mirror replacement
Overall i can live with it, but in the long run it needs replacing. Chunk out of the indicator strip, cracked white plastic cover and a big bit of black plastic casing is missing.

Wing mirror replacement
Hi all,
I have found a replacement wing mirror, the seller says the mirror is heated and electic adjust. My current mirror has the folding option. Is this enabled using VCDS or do I need to keep looking for a mirror with this option?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Tank draining
can you measure the pressure of the liftpump with VCDS?
If you can, do you know the menu/code to select?

Re: Tank draining
Hahaha no.... No diesel in the tank.
Reason being, I seem to be getting through fuel filters like no tomorrow!! Only thing I can think of is there's something not too good In the tank.
Thanks for the replies

Tank draining
Hi all,
Have any of you ever drained your petrol tank on the scirocco? Just wondering if there is a easy way to do this? I don't mind unclipping the pipe on the fuel filter and doing it that way but I thought there may be a specific drain plug some where??
Thanks in advance!!

Potential fueling issue??
Hi guys, I think I may be finally getting somewhere with the rough running. I've tried plugs and coil packs. I had the fuel filter replaced and it ran fine for a week, then the car decided to lose all power for a few seconds under heavy acceleration. I have only been able to replicate this fault whe...

RNS 510 SD card problems
Hi all, When putting the SD card in the slot it appears to read it, but the CD/SD/HDD tabs at the top of the screen on the media page are all greyed out. The only selectable one is the MDI tab. Has anyone had this issue before? The SD card is only 2GB. Also do the songs need to be in mp3 format or w...

P0302 missfire
Hi all, On the way home from work I went to overtake a tractor and there was a sudden dip in power, so much so I ended up pulling back in behind the flaming thing. For the next 10 minutes no other symtoms were present, car seemed normal. Got to the dual carriage way and when putting my foot down the...

Spark plugs
Hi all, The time has come to change the spark plugs. I popped into Halfords and gave them my Reg. They suggested that they only have one type on the shelf for my car (2.0 tsi). These are Champion 701 EON 1. I have fitted the plugs and taken it for a quick spin, everything seems fine. Just wondering ...

Re: Rough running.
light dusting of soot on mine. They were changed not last service but the service before, approx 1.5 years ago. I bought a coil pack and put it in each cylinder 1 at a time and this made no difference. Im debating whether to go down the MAF route. Also, im trying to find out how to use VCDS for test...

Re: Rough running.
Just a quick question.. my 2.0 tsi has the exact same issue, ive removed the plugs and they visually look ok, did you notice anything out of the ordinary with the plugs you removed? Did this issue bring up any lights on the dash? Mine hasn't as of yet.
Thanks

Re: Boost Bar Sensor
Not sure about the sensor.... Water temp should be around 90, oil should be about 100-105 when properly hot.
