Noticable difference in paint repair

Just got my white roc back from the dealer af a paint repair (break in, broke window and damaged some paint by the door) If I look very closely I can tell there is a slight tone difference in the white repair colour from the original paint. I this normal and will it go away after a few days (as the ...

Polish after paint repair?

My roc is currently getting a paint repair. There was a dent in the side door after somebody broke the side window and stole my RNS510...! After the repair I am getting the whole car polished and sealed at Tidycar. The thing is that my local Tidycar only has time for me one day after the paint repai...

Re: What you don't want to discover in the morning...

Updated my profile :D ...and a baseball bat would be my first choice if I found out who did it. Actually my neighbourgh has a brand new Passat R-line - he currently also is missing a side window and a RNS510. Both our cars were parked in the driveway - a white Roc and a white Passat must have been t...

Re: What you don't want to discover in the morning...

Yes, it's Denmark.
Because of the insane taxes on cars here, we tend to have less standard options on cars to reduce cost.

FOr example a "basic" 2.0 TSI here has no DCC and has a RCD310 unit....

Re: What you don't want to discover in the morning...

Didn't opt for the alarm and it's not standard in DK.

They just took the unit and emptied the glove box and armrest (I have media-in = iPod)

Re: Reversing sensor anomaly

It went back to normal after leaving the car for a couple of hours. I think it was the same as the trip computer "timeout". I got the software update just to be sure :D

Re: Grinding rear brakes?

Mine too. Should this not be fixed under warranty?
My previous BMW had the same problem, although also including squeaking noises - this was fixed under warranty.

Re: Light steering

I am wondering whether it has something to do with my tyres? Currently I am using winter tyres - 235/17. I haven't noticed the problem on my summer tyres, but I only used them for a few months (got my roc in sept09)

Re: Light steering

The exact opposite of my situation: http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... =25&t=4423" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Maybe there is something general with the steering - or maybe Scirocco drivers are a little sensitive...

Re: Steering wheel or servo?

Sounds like a good explanation. Of course I could ask the dealer, but my guess is that the answer will be either "I am not familiar with that problem" and/or "I don't feel that at all"

In any case, if I am the only one = fault = can and need to be fixed

Steering wheel or servo?

I have noticed that when the steering wheel has been in the same position (a few seconds), driving in a straight line or stopping at an intersection, there is a slight resistance in the wheel when starting to turn it and disappears after turning a few mm. It feels a bit like the wheel freezes stuck,...

Re: Ipod or USB Flash

I had to connect my iPhone to listen to music bought in iTunes. Tried the USB but without any luck.

I found it a bit annoying having to connect the iPhone on smaller trips, so I bought an older 30Gb iPod which is permanenly plugged in. My Scirocco now has its own iPod... :D

Re: Scirocco Van - updated after Spa-Ring pictures

How does this track driving work, insurance wise?
I have been looking around at different insurance companies, and it seems that noone offers coverage on track driving? Seems like high stakes for a Scirocco owner...

Looks great, by the way!

Re: Candy 2.0TSi

Very nice! I'll never get tired of the white...

Xenon is a good choice (especially with candy white) and it will definately give you some extra room on the roads. People tend to move quicker out of my way now I drive with xenons (at least in DK and Germany)
