Getting an indicated 48 mpg on my commute to work (20 mile round trip) - mostly A-roads and a bit of a city crawl

Longer runs have indicated between 53 and 63 mpg

What about swapping for a diesel ROC ?? I'm loving mine - especially the 63mpg I got on this afternoon's trip up the M42

Have noticed my door windows have started moving when I start the engine - not every time but it has happened a few times now - when you turn the ignition key both drivers and passenger door windows "twitch". Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm very happy with my TDi - and my last car was a 230ps RX-8!

The midrange acceleration makes the car very responsive at motorway/overtaking speeds and the economy is fantastic - just filled up the tank after 520 miles - took 48 litres which is about 49.5mpg

Not just the 'roc but a number of newish VW's I have driven recently - The Accelerator pedal is set back from the brake pedal such that you have to pull your foot up and across to hit the brake - not just across. On a Passat I nearly got my foot stuck under the brake pedal when I had to brake sudden...

I seem to recall that my old Mk2 Golf used to be terrible for burning out brake light bulbs - I must have had to replace them three or four times in the three years I had it. I hope the the 'roc doesn't suffer the same problem....

Whats the spec of the oil the TDI takes - the manual doesn't tell you!!??! (Its 'TBD' LOL)

I was offered 6% off the list price ("That's all our dealer margin gone") and a s**t trade-in on my old car after quite a bit of haggling. They then had the cheek to say that as the 'Roc would not be available for at least 12 weeks, my trade-in would be worth £500 less at delivery time so ...

6 weeks ago I was quoted 12 to 20 weeks....I did end up buying a demonstrator - but from another dealer....

Im getting about 44 to 48mpg combined in the TDI - My last fill was after 460 miles and it took 48 litres to brim the tank. I'm currently reading 360 miles since last fill up and I reckon I have a third of a tank left. I'm really happy with the car and the economy is a revelation after 3 years of RX...
