Re: What engine would you have?

If I could, I'd have the V6 TDI out of the R18 :) For now the 170 remapped will have to do!

Re: Anybody got an Applt I Mac Help Needed :(

I use both Safari and Chrome as sometimes either one has a 'slow day' and I switch to the other without bother. You can import all your bookmarks and settings too. Download the 'iStat Pro' widget for the dashboard and it gives you an idea of the network activity and CPU usage amongst a host of other...

Re: slow warm up TDI

I found this the other day when it was particularly cold. Try leaving the heater controls off for the first 5 minutes or so. As soon as I realised they were in full heat position on the dials I turned them down and up shot the water temperature to normal. Try using the oil temp page of the MFD to se...

Re: More Options Ordered...

No faulting the extra options you've gone for! I have the Bi-Xenons and DAB too and both are brilliant.

As for the Sat Nav can't comment as I opted to use my existing device.

Re: Self sealing tyres?

Mine came with these Conti Self-seal tyres fitted, they seem to be good in the dry and held pressure since new (I check frequently due to high mileage). However, with the slightest hint of wet road they slip even under light acceleration, although that may have something to do with the remap and sub...

Re: My RB GT 170

Surely those German style plates aren't street legal on UK roads? Yeah they're not legal. However saying that, they are clearly visible, spaced and the font doesn't differ too much to attract attention. I've been tailed 3 times and it's come to nothing. In fact whilst washing it at a service statio...

Re: 1st Longlife service cost

On that note I'm pleased I managed to get the '£250' 3yrs servicing thrown into the deal!
Quite a hefty price for a service in comparison to my mk2 golf... 25 quid and an hour of my time!

I'm 6'2" and haven't had any issues. Sat in the back tonight and it was a bit cosy but I drive the car anyway! After all it is a coupe so will be lower. Go for it!

Re: Turbo engine cooling time?

I normally wait around a minute on short journeys and 3 mins after a long stint. That said, I don't have any evidence to say its working but in my head it's a contribution at least.

Re: Automatic Rain Sensors for Scirocco?

First notch up on windscreen wiper lever and then use the position switch on the top from left to right to determine the frequency/sensitivity. Well thats how mine is
