Finally, after way way too long of a wait.. i picked it up this afternoon...
first impressions are good, gentle 15 mile drive back on the motorway, avg 55mpg.. not bad...

Oh, I will.. all in good time...
Loving the car now, - i do about 100 mile round trip to work each day, 1st day today in the car - drove like a dream, handled superbly and I love the fact that you have to actually 'drive it' - get the revs up and it really pulls. - like the fact that for a diesel it'll rev to 5k+ rpm - my last car (Merc Eclass) only revved to about 4300 ish, that extra 1k revs really makes a difference...
Took it easy coming home tonight, bit of traffic on the M1.. - i'm mega impressed at the fuel economy!
