Re: ROC Replacement - what to get?
36k. And let's face it, it's a hell of alot of car for the money!! It was a tough call to make but nothing else actualy ticked the boxes and actually had some soul in the same way the roc has done.

Re: ROC Replacement - what to get?
Well the days of my ROC are numbered. I have traded it in (well in two weeks) for a Jaguar XF! I loved the ROC but I need something bigger with 4 doors, a diesel, that's luxurious for the millions of miles I seem to do a year that wasn't a passat, BMW 3-5 series, C class or Audi A4-5-6.... It'...

Ditto. Bloody annoying after a while!Evil Derboy wrote:My last car was a Mk2 TT and the lack of rear wiper did annoy me. In heavy rain all you can make out through the back window are blurry shapes. Still a cracking car though.

Re: Iphone Connection
does anyone have an iphone 3gs? I can't get the thing to charge using the MDI cable. Plugging in I get the same "error" about it wanting to turn on airplane mode, and plays music fine through the stereo, just the damn phone won't charge. I recently switched from a 3g, and it worked perfec...

Re: tradeing my scirocco for a3
As for the BMW, well you will be lucky to get one of those and not have it permanently in the dealers with problems. Explain a little further. Three of work colleagues have 3-series M Sport cars which have only been in the dealers for services. In fact, I know of not one BMW owner in my circle of f...

Re: tradeing my scirocco for a3
I'm in the same boat. My TSi GT is costing me a fortune in fuel and upkeep recently. Only lost a grand after 26k miles as well. The A4 and A5 were on my list but they lack driver feel. Way too over assisted steering and the peformance felt lethargic. My choice? 330D :) Enjoy your car, it's your choi...

Re: Angry at volkswagen...
Reject the car. Simple. Chips on the bonnet are unacceptable. I do have to ask though, are swirls that big a deal? The moment you drive it anywhere, it's going to get covered in grime, come into contact with road salt, grit from potholes etc. That's the nature of driving your car. Mine has marks, tw...

Re: ROC Replacement - what to get?
Good call sticking with the roc. You could always check out the Seat Leon FR diesel. Essentially a Golf GTD for £5k less. Used to have the original PD 170 version. Great car that is let down by a tatty interior. The new facelift interior is really ugly. Shame but apart from that, cracking car and a...

It will charge the IPhone just fine
I hang the MDI cable of the armrest into the back cup holder so the handset sits in there instead of stuffed in the armrest.

Re: ROC Replacement - what to get?
I just got back from a passat CC and GTD drive. GTD was nice but confirmed it was very overpriced. Passat was really nice (surprisingly) but lacked punch. Turns out it was a 140 not a 170. 170 was also too pricey for what you get. After some sums, decided to stick with the roc for another year. Cost...

Wooly steering and horribly over-priced (but then the Roc and GTi are going the same way!).Scirocco Bhoy wrote:Audi A3?

ROC Replacement - what to get?
Well the ROC has to go. I did almost have a deal on a BMW recently but that fell through, so back to square one. Reason is purely changing from 10k miles a year to 24k+ a year. Petrol prices and 30MPG average is killing my pocket. Need a diesel. I have debated keeping but... Bought car 12 months ago...

Because Ford own a patent on it and suppliers are too cheap to license it. Ford owned (and ex-Ford owned like Jaguar) also have the heated front windscreen.skyblues11 wrote:why manufacturer don't offer heated windscreens? Ford fiestas have it....
