Re: Insurance - Modifications??

my existing insurer MoreThan (RSA) has decided that they will not renew the policy thanks for that post, i've been with MoreThan just over 2 months and was thinking of starting to mod the 'roc (2800 miles)... Had a feeling they wouldn't be mod friendly - was the cheapest quote i had by a big margin...

Re: OMG I'm going to die

ESP saved my ass on the EVO triangle a few weeks back when i got a little too confident (read cocky)

from my limited experience, 2700 miles 2.0 TSI - the harder you turn into corners the tighter the 'roc tucks in (especially in sport)

MY2010 2.0L TSI - rattle 2000-3000 rpm

Have seen lots of old posts on this topic. Tinny metallic rattle between 2000 and 3000 rpm Apparently 'normal' - it's the wastegate actuator... rattling under acceleration. Is it supposed to have been fixed for MY2010 ie. production change, or have VW just left well alone as it doesn't damage the en...

Re: Have I peaked too early?

Owners manual says keep to 4k revs until 1000km covered (621 miles roughly speaking) Having chatted to other 'Roc owners - VW rag the granny out of it at the factory (7k revs) on the rolling road at the end of the production line anyway Got my 'Roc 31st march done 724 miles in 3 driving days - think...

Re: Rattle from 'wastegate'

My 'Roc does it too... MY2010 BW 10 picked up 31/03/2010 8 miles on clock, now on 500 miles Has made sound from the beginning, a bit annoying an 'cheap' sounding but looks like it's not a serious problem. Doesn't appear that VW will be sorting it out - so will just suck back and get used to it :shru...

Re: I won't sleep tonight... **UPDATED** pics and EVO Triang

Do you recommend the road? I can see us arranging a meet there if it comes recommended! Thanks m8. Absolutely recommend the road - 100%. Quite scary in parts though whilst gettin' to know the twists, turns & drops! A meet would be fantastic there, HOWEVER... would have to be pretty discrete abo...

Re: I won't sleep tonight... **UPDATED** pics and EVO Triang

Re: Volkswagen Finance PCP Deal

I've gone via a broker I know and am having more joy than direct! Glad to hear it cat69uk  Unfortunately my deal bombed out today - 'small print issue' - scirocco solutions 7.9% cannot be used in conjunction with scrappage scheme! Was completely gutted when business manager told me - thought i...

Re: VW servicing deals

I'll be going up shortly to dealers to discuss part exchange and finance but wondered what kind of deal I should be looking for. In terms of finance (PCP) just used the VW finance calculator on their website to get you an estimate: scirocco R.JPG http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/finance/calculator"...

Re: Volkswagen Finance PCP Deal

I'm struggling on a decent deal..... Paid FULL 'on the road' list price for my 'Roc - dealer wouldn't budge on discount due to scappage allowance. £24'000 - £2'000 scrappage - £2000 cash deposit = £20'000 on PCP. 'Apology pack' was a nice touch for some 'communication issues'. Scrappage works out a...
