Looks like someone forgot to plug your MDI back in to the correct quadlock, you will not get the MDI working until you plug it back into the quadlock that goes directly into the headunit.

And you just need to code the BT to access the media audio.

You need to search through the cars phone system, once your phone is found press the okay button and a long number will come up, on your phone it will ask you to enter that number. once you press done or connect on the phone it'll be plain sailing from there.

Chris go into the option on the mail menu and in there is an option for sim messages that is where the sms is saved when you save through the car kit.

DAR when I fitted the stalks on a Golf GTD the stalks where held on by 2 T6 torx screws, 1 at the lower front and 1 underneath going upwards once they where undone the stalks just come off.

I cannot understand why 2 large shear bolts had to come off???

Does your bluetooth kit work? If so then all it means is that you need to run 2 more wires from the mic out on the RNS510 to the bluetooth module. Although you have bluetooth and an RNS capable of voice control you don't automatically get it? You need the extra wires for the RNS, mic in and mic out....

Also Ian I have the network problem but with 3 network?? Pairs fine with my nokia 5800 but will not pick the network up...when it does it seems to be so out of the blue? Definitely network problem has it was working fine when i originally had it. I need to wait until next year so I can change networ...

I fitted the latest premium kit to 2 forum members golf 6's Sunday & yesterday and the iphone and BB ?? worked perfectly. New premium only for white highline.

when you view the sms on the highline press the options and copy to phone, then on your phone goto messages main menu and in the options go into sim messages and select the text you and copy that to the inbox folder.

Looks like it mate I'm not sure of the build date but I believe the owner only picked it up last week. Its totally different to the normal steering controller under the column and the seperate stalk, the stalks both wiper and turn signal are all one unit and the steering control goes over the top of...
