Re: Chinese made 2din GPS DVD.How reliable?

There are so many different ones that you cannot answer the question. However this company: http://www.audiosources.net/newview.asp?types=&id=171 has been awarded an official VW aftermarket deal in Korea. So it should be reasonably?! Be carefull to order the latest version, I think is V4. You ca...

Re: Car wash safe?

I drive over 30k miles a year so handwash is almost impossible, so mine goes through the (textile) carwash at times. No problems, however the Rocco has some blindspots: -the rearbumper where the numberplate is -the mirrors, the side facing the windows(can be reduced by folding the mirrors if availab...

Note you can not adjust them without VAG.
A HUGE difference after adjustment
That's not completely right. The adjustment will stick if done manually. The zero point though has to be reset using VAGCOM, mine hasn't had this done yet but I haven't noticed any ill effect.

Re: Xenons - Surely there is a problem?

Yup had that problem aswell, which is annoying when trying the autobahn :D.
Mine where checked and the mechanic had to turn 3-4 complete times to get anywhere near correct height.
Now it's quite brilliant, problem is I cannot go back to a car without xenon now :P.

Re: First Gear Selection (manual box)

TDI or TSI? Don't know if there's still a difference in gearboxes nowadays.
Is it less obvious if you blip the throttle or double clutch? Had this on my Leon, turn out to be the flywheel.

- (short) how-to
- does it work with the RNS310

Re: RNS 315

1: I'd think so. The RNS310 has it so why would it be gone in the RNS315.
2: No, single slot CD player. But the SD slot is now for audio only and can read up to 32gb I think. So I wouldn't mis the changer. The nav is on internal memory in this one.

Re: XDS

ESP cannot be switched off completely on most VAG cars, Porsche and Lamborghini being the exceptions :P and maybe some Audi RS models.

Re: XDS

The traction control should be smoother than in cars without. You can feel it helping instead of just cutting the power abruptly as soon as a wheel loses grip. I'm not sure if it's still active when you turn off the traction control but testing would be easy, quite a sharp turn and step on the loud p...
