Well, after a lot of work it woudl appear I need a new engine!

Got quoted around £5k by four seperate garages and £5.5k by VW plus labor!!!

I have now sold the car as is to the original garage for £3k as I couldn't justify spending £5k on a car thats on worth £7k.

Hey, So i have a 60 plate 2.0 tsi un modified Scirocco withh 102,000 miles on the clock. On Friday the car sounded really bad when i started it and was idling at 700 rpm and sounded very rough. I drove it half a mile before the engine warning light came on and then a further half a mile to my local ...

I had this on mine just after picking the car up from the dealer.

At first they just sprayed some lube onto it and it worked fine for a week, then it happened again.

I got a new servo (or actuator) fitted and have not had an issue since.

They are only about £50 I think and are dead simple to fit.

Morning!

My aircon is making a really annoying whining / whiring noise whilst driving slowly.

If I turn the aircon off and leave the fans on the noise stops.

Any ideas?

if it helps, its a 10 plate 2 Tsi GT?

mine had this problem,it was down to a faulty sensor which is apparently quite a common problem and a really simple fix. i just dropped mine off at VW and it was fixed in an hour.

is it torque steer?

I have attached a picture of the wheels, they are all immaculate with no marks on at all. what do you think? the front tyres were changed 500 miles ago so are mint and the back tyres have probably 95% of teh tread left.
