Re: stage 1
Mind RR standard at 290 but then mapped only made 305 and gained 40lbf clearly shows how throttles the exhaust and breathing is.

Re: stage 1
You wont see 320/330 with just an airfilter, your exhaust is too restrictive. I have full system and Evoms which made 335 and apparently with a full exhaust and filter they should only make 320.

Re: Alarm

I even put my arm through the window after without unlocking and it didnt go off. and i tried this. but when only pressed once it went off straight away as soon as i approached the vehicle with the window down....

Re: Alarm
This was my understanding but I'll read the manual tonight to be doubly sure: One press = deadlock on, sensors on Two presses = deadlock off, sensors on Use interior door button (on A pillar) to disable sensors It seems on Two presses the deadlock is off and the sensitivity is drastically reduced. ...

Re: Alarm
Should the red light flash with the one click of the lock button?
Also could one of you check if the window says 43R for the colour, i can buy a window but unsure of the code. VW says there is only one colour.. so just want to clarify.

Re: Alarm
Yeah i press it twice otherwise the blinker doesnt flash. i should have put it in the garage, either someone is jealous or i have upset someone,
Do you know whether one from a 2.0TDI would be the same, i can get one from breakers for £30 instead of nearly 80 at VW.

Oil Usage
I have 2012 Scirocco R and have noticed that its thirsty on oil usage. I went to Edinburgh and back and couple of hundred miles since and the litre of oil i topped it up with had nearly gone. Its not coming out of the exhaust on tick over nor is it smokey on boost or overrun. Its done about 25k and ...

Re: Engine Blown
Keep us informed. The other thing i thought was jumped a tooth on the timing but the thing would still run. Did it start after the bang? I would definitely say its cam belt related due to a total loss of power but then as mentioned there are tensioner, waterpump etc which could be a contributing fac...

Re: Engine Blown
Im not a Mechanic but know a little. For something to damage the piston and spark plug would suggest DET (little explosions in the engine cylinder) but this is more common on Modified cars I wouldnt expect this on a standard car, is the issue down to 1 specific cylinder? Does the vehicle have any mo...

Re: Scirocco R vs M135i vs Golf R
Chased a Golf R down yesterday, he wasn't happy as I passed him :D I'd keep your rocco & just upgrade to a stg2 or 3 tune. If he had got his remaped you wouldn't be passing him. And you wouldn't be happy :D he could have his mappped and bet he still couldnt catch me ;) 340 BHP from exhaust. Air...
