Fault Code P0101 -Resets using ODBII for a month or so.
I keep getting a P0101 Mass Airflow (MAF) Circuit Operating Range or Performance Problem fault which either clears itself after a couple of days if I don't reset it with my ODBII dongle n Android app. Then it will be fine for a month or so and then I'll get it again. I've had the MAF Sensor off and ...

No steering buttons, horn and Air Bag Light has come on
None functioning steering wheel buttons, no horn and air bag warning light has come on. Assuming this is a slip ring fault. The car ran out of it 3 year manufacturing warranty in September but luckily I did take out the comprehensive component extended warranty with VW with the £100 excess. So if it...

Re: MDI to Lighting cable for Iphone 6 plus
I tried the short stubby apple 30 pin to lighting converter and the dock controls and charging appears to work ok. Like has been said the iphone 6 plus is a tight fit and theres no way you can shut the lid when the connector is on. Its also not practical as its a to short a lead to even put the phon...

Re: Have a bought lemon.
My car was in the garage nearly two weeks and eventually after a couple of attempts and changing part of gearbox housing and i think the thrust bearing the original problem was gone. i.e. tapping noise when iddelling which went when clucth depressed. Everything was fine for a month but in November i...

Re: dual mass flywheel clutch
Interestingly, since the car was new I had a lot of problems with stalling at low revs. Since I picked up the car again with the new Dual Mass Flywheel it seems to be much better at low revs. It seems much smoother so I wonder if I have had a problem with the flywheel for a long time. They tell me ...

Re: Have a bought lemon.
Well VW have had my car all week and I was hoping to get back this afternoon. Unfortunately they have just called me to say that when they got it all back together and tested it the release bearing is now making a horrible noise. They said that unfortunately it may have been damaged when they were p...

Re: Have a bought lemon.
Heard back from vw today. Spring broken on dmf and this has caused scoring on part of gear box casing so it will be a few days before they get the parts. All should be done under warranty but I won't get it back until end of week or beginning of next. Only got the car last week and its spent more ti...

Have a bought lemon.
Last week I bought a 2 year old, late 2012 2.0 TDI. 39,000 on the clock nice spec leather,Nav etc in grey. The test drive and pickup of the car it sounded fine but a couple of days later when I was showing my boss. Started it cold and when it was in idle there was a very slight tapping noise from th...
