Re: Delaying collection worries
Ive never heard of that happening before, i was delayed picking my new car up, but Mercedes simply locked it in their compound for 2 months, if my car was delivered with anything other than delivery miles ( i.e. sub 100 miles )i would reject it outright.

Re: Viper Club
Ive always found that Viper Green tolerates dirt pretty well, alas theres no point in me joining this club as mine will probably be sold this week, but..courage brothers! it IS the best colour for this car by far, we all know it, and i suspect 'they' know it too but cant quite bring themselves...

Re: Trade in values
These are my quotes from 'those' types of companies, as you can see..WBAC is the lowest, and you can expect them to knock that down further. ( 58 plate '09 GT spec in viper green DAB, Dynaudio 28,500 miles ) sellcar-uk.com £12,560 wewantanycar.com - £12,500 - £12,800 webuyanycar.com - £11.755 sell t...

Re: Trade in values
There are far better companies out there than WBAC, do a search on google, i tried all of them and they varied quite a bit and dont all operate the same way, there was one that promises to pay the quote given online, from trying all of them i came to the conclusion you would have to be nuts to sell ...

Re: Trade in values
Giulietta cloverleaf is a fine car, i liked the DNA switch ( although im not sure if its in the cloverleaf model ) the only gripe for me was the driving position. nowhere to rest your left foot, i went for a C250 Coupe in the end though.
Get one in 8C red!!

Re: Scirocco Valuation
maybe the valuation was low because im not part exchanging, im locked into a company car scheme, the second hand market seems dead!
I will give the oil a visual, they have ticked the 'long life oil' option, but ticked 'no' in the oil change box, maybe a mistake like you said.

Re: Possible company car - Is the basic spec worth it?
Bit harsh, the Alfa ( im guessing is a Gulietta ) is actually quite a nice option, i test drove one two months ago as im looking for a replacement for my Scirocco and it was quite impressive, and well specced in veloce.

Just DAB radio and Dynaudio upgrade, wondering if the Viper green will count for or against it? January is not the best month to try and sell a car either!!skippy wrote:
Does it have many extras mate, leather, sat nav etc? Probably looking at £14k'ish depending on condition.

I had no end of chancers when i listed my GTI on Autotrader, really was a minefield, eventually sold it for cash in a power station car park, well dodgy! but cash is king! Mine didnt ask for a service until around 18K either, i thought this was deliberate given the long life oil etc? im assuming its quite alright to not service the car until the MFD tells you?
