They said no to any discount as thought they would.
For now I'm just going to wait until it comes on again which I imagine it will sometime soon, my wife says she will follow it up, she loves to harass people so I might just point her towards VW customer service and see what happens.

Re: Intake manifold sensor issue
Ughh I've just back from the dealers and been quoted £850 for a new manifold fitted :( My scirocco is a 2010 with just 16,000 on the clock. The light only came on for about 20 miles and went out again but I had the diagnostics done for free after reminding the service manager at my local dealer how ...

Re: Snapped rear Spring - dealers fault?
Ok fair enough, I wonder if it was cracked and they didn't pick it up also? Basically I was just wondering if there was a lowering procedure that hadn't been followed, as I just assumed the sound was the spring sitting back into the holder properly, I had a really good look and measured the ride hei...

Re: Snapped rear Spring - dealers fault?
I just checked the mot and it's less than 150 miles ago, too much of a coincidence for my liking, I've only been out in it twice.

Snapped rear Spring - dealers fault?
So my 2011 TSi scirocco when in for a service today, the dealer just rang and said the the rear Spring drivers side is snapped at the end, I've told them to go ahead and replace it. But the thing is I had them do the MOT just 6 weeks ago (150miles since) and I distinctly remember a loud crack from t...

Re: Spilt Milk
Start looking on eBay for new seats mate, from experience it's the only way, in fact I'd remove them now before the smell starts and it will, come the spring and it gets warmer it will increase ten fold.

Boot light - bit erratic
wondering when the boot light should come on, does it work via a light sensor or should it be in every time the boots open regardless? I'm having no problems with the other courtesy lights so I assume the circuit in general is fine. It seems to work some days and not others, the bulb's ok I tested t...

Isn't one of the option codes on the boot / handbook sticker a "GT" code ?

Re: Keyless entry
had keyless entry on an previous clio R27 and on my wife's current megane, it is without doubt the most annoying technology ever forced into the driving experience, noting short of a punishment for people who like cars, hopefully her next company car will be a golf and i'll never see that fob again.

Re: Strange door open warning noise?
Cheers - yes I think that's it, I haven't been doing many long journeys lately I was expecting it to start complaining soon but it still sounds string on start up.
I have a Ctek battery conditioner I bought for a TT i had a couple years ago, I think I'll plug that on tomorrow.

Strange door open warning noise?
Had my car (2010) for a few months now, today though it did something a bit weird. Parked it in the garage unlocked, came back to get something out about 10 mins later and I had the drivers door open, suddenly I started to hear a slow repetitive "boing" noise (once every 3 second or so)fro...

Door sticker
This a bit strange I know, is there a factory sticker inside the drivers door below the door catch (not on the door on the car body) The car I'm waiting to collect looks like it has a mark where a sticker was but isn't now. Just wondering if (like my last car) it's a vin number sticker, if so why's ...

Re: Parking sensors / radio display
Yeah the dealer rang back today after I sent him off to contact the original owner, they were fitted prior to delivery at the dealers, pahh I'm really annoyed about this, I mentioned it during the test drive when the display didn't change and was given something about the the option needed to be tur...

Re: Parking sensors / radio display
Humm I'm ringing the dealer today, I left a deposit on the car I'm really not happy about this, I've decoded the options list and the parking sensors don't seem to be listed (I'd still like the option code if anyone knows it just to be sure) My wife was concerned about the visibility for parking and...

Re: Parking sensors / radio display
Thanks, it's a sept 10 car, the price list booklet only says audible, just looking at other forums a lot of people seem to mentioning the display on the screen as well as the beeps, it's defiantly factory fit parking sensors as I checked the options codes.

Parking sensors / radio display
Test drove a 2.0tsi with a rcd510 head unit fitted at the weekend, while reversing it back into the dealership I was expecting the radio unit to display a parking screen, but all I got were the bleeps, is this normal or should there be a option selected to allow the radio display to change.
Thanks
Thanks

Rising blue is the colour to have, I think VW knew that and showcased it on the "R"
