Re: Scratched Rocco

Thanks for the advice salsajoe, hadn't thought of the priming part! Does you know if VW will supply cans of paint or is Halfords a good match?

Re: Scratched Rocco

Selleym Yeh they drove away, only noticed it on Tuesday and it can't have happened on Tues so must have been in a carpark on Monday night as I'm sure I would've spotted it it it had happened before then. I agree though that some people should have their licences taken away, the wisdom of Top Gear li...

Scratched Rocco

Please see the post below. With hindsight should have posted it here first as it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention in the detailing section and that might have been the wrong section anyway. (mods please move if this is the case) http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&...

Re: Scratched Rocco

Ahh that's a good idea, I will give it a good clean and try that. It's harder to tell on the pic but you can tell which is paint left from the other car and which are paint chipped off my car in person. I was also going to try WD-40 to see if that will also get any of it off as it says it can be use...

Scratched Rocco

Hi everyone I was filling up yesterday and I noticed a mark behind the passenger side rear wheel :grumpy: . On closer inspection I noticed that someone has scraped past my Rocco and left some of their paint and chipped some of mine, also pulling the little mud guard thing off which popped back in no...

Re: How do Auto Lights work?

I have noticed if you have the lights in the on position (far right turned) then it will stop the welcome lights coming on if thats what you mean by disturbing the neighbours. You can prob do it in the menu's for the welcome lights, I just find it a lot easier than changing settings all the time

Rust spots?

Hi guys

Was washing the roc on the weekend and noticed loads of tiny brown coloured spots all over the bodywork (I've got Candy white) but they will come off with a bit of scratching with a finger nail.

Any idea what these will be?

Thanks

Re: Water stain on seat

I always just use Halfords upholstery cleaner, spray, rub in then clean off with a clean damp cloth, good as new!

Window issues

So went out to my car this morning and unlocked it and as soon as I pressed the button I knew it was a mistake. The frost seemed to have frozen it up and the window didn't come down a little bit to open the door so I locked it again immediately and sprayed a lot of de-ice on the edges to try and rel...

Turbo Boost

Just curious really... Does anybody know how much boost the 140 TDI gives?

Have been looking around for a while on the internet but can't find the answer.

Thanks

Wow I must not be as light footed as I thought.

Do you do a lot of motorways and does the 170 really make that much of a difference?

Re: Fuel efficient......

 I average 50mpg now on trip 2 with some journeys averaging 60mpg and that's typically Motorway @ 80mph and A/B Roads at the relevant limits - i've done 11,000 miles now and seems to be getting better all the time I'm the nearly the same on trip 2 at around 48.8ish but trip 1 I can get it up t...

Re: 2.0TDI 140 MPG

Still trying to break the 600 mile mark, always think of that Top Gear race where the trip computers said they ran out of fuel but they still had loads left, but always bottle it when the range gets to about 5 miles on the computer!

Redex

Was thinking about putting some Redex in my tank when I filled up last, was just wandering if anybody had used it and what their thoughts on it were? Is it worth it?

Thanks guys
