Re: Rough idle loss of power..

When I had a very rough idle on my Scirocco R it was the PVC valve, these are prone to fail all the time and VW have revised this part numerous times trying to make it last longer but still ends up failing. I have since had enough of replacing the PVC so I now run a Forge PVC delete plate, I have b...

Re: Slight whistling/whooshing while boosting

If you don’t get any loss of power this is normal for a Scirocco R, as these have bigger turbos than all the other model variants. R’s have K04 Turbos, all other models have a smaller K03. It will be a mixture of turbo spool noise and air getting pushed through the air filter.

Re: My first ever car

Car is now back in my hands with the Custom-Code stage 1 and on the fly map switching. Car now keeps on pulling all the way up to the red line when in stage 1 map mode. The guys also created launch control and a launch map for my manual box car. Can use launch control while in any map mode and will ...

Re: My first ever car

The ECO map sounds like snake oil to me. Different maps can alter a few things. Ignition timing, fuel injection and boost pressure. Without changing any of the engine internals how do you think you are going to use less fuel with the ECO map active? Less fuel? Advanced ignition timing? Less boost? ...

Re: My first ever car

How could you have such a "high" average consumption? My average consumption is 22mpg and im not driving the car gently. I could'nt even hit those numbers when driving in the city. And my car is on Stage 2.5+! It's all very hilly, loads and loads of traffic and it's not exactly too Farr o...

Re: My first ever car

On the fly map switching seems like an answer to a question nobody was asking. If you wanted to go less fast with the big power map active why not just press the accelerator pedal less? Exactly! In the real world, I've noticed next to no difference in fuel burn between stock and Revo Stg 1. What's ...

Re: My first ever car

I am surprised you got insured on that, back when I had my first car, I doubt they would have let me near a 1.6L even!! My first was a 1.0L corsa, and I was very proud! Glad I didn't have anything quicker, might have not been alive today (not that I am say this applies to you of course, everyone is...

Re: My first ever car

Car is now booked in for a stage 1 remap. Was going to go with REVO but another one of my local dealers had something special up their sleeve which hasn't been released to the public yet and couldn't resist. "Stage 1 Custom-Code, No Hardware On The FLY Map Switching Technology" They are g...

Revo stage 1?

Quick question before i jump the gun. I have a local dealer that do revo remaps. Just wondering how noticeable will the power gains be after a remap is done in real world situations and not just on the graphs. Never had a remap done before but i am very tempted to see the Roc R true potential. Thank...

Re: My first ever car

Wow! What a first car! A little bit jealous that you don't have to suffer the ballache of driving a 1litre or a 1.Poo As comments above, take it easy, enjoy the car and be safe! Ps-where did u get your keyring from?? Haha thanks, I've always had a passion for cars ever since I was little  It's...
