These ridiculous lights

The R has DRL's but for the other rocs we don't. My lighting dial has 4 settings with 3 of them doing exactly the same thing. They all have the headlights and rear lights permanently on. It really is an idiotic set up. To be actually driving around on a bright sunny day with your flippin' headlights...

Re: Picking up new car tomorow things to look out for?

One thing not mentioned and its a must. I have had 2 new cars in the past and when I got home a neighbour said nice car but did you know one of your brake lights is not working. pretty embarrassing really. The other car had a rear bulb missing. Quick fix I know but just check all lights are working ...

Re: Visual Differences?

As being new to the brand I was wondering if there were differences as per my original post as I was a little concerned at the time. But you can certainly spot a 2.0 though as the number is brazenly shining brightly on its rear!!!

Re: To buy or not to buy....

Its all very tempting and it does look like a judgement call on your part. I bought mine about a week ago simply because the car I sourced had only done 900 miles and is a year old next month. I took a hit on my previous car in p/x but I just had to have the car as I couldn't find any other with tha...

Re: To buy or not to buy....

I suppose its who you are buying the car from? I would only buy cars from approved dealerships which generally gives me peace of mind, if it is, then I wouldn't think there is anything to be concerned about. I concur with other replies in that there are probably others rocs out there with probably l...

Re: What engine?

I have not driven any of the other variants but the 160 is the best I have ever driven and that's saying a lot when you see the kind of cars I've driven over the years. Ive read somewhere that the ACC is more noticeable on a 2.0 GT. But as I haven't driven one of these i can say you can certainly fe...

Re: Visual Differences?

Thanks for the reply. I have checked the codes etc and it would appear to confirm it is a TSI 160 as opposed to a 122. Just seems amazing that you can only tell by unearthing stickers in boots and matching codes on windscreen with a service book, just to confirm this fact. It would seem, as there's ...

Visual Differences? (122PS v 160PS)

After buying the 1.4 160 i began to wonder if there are any visual differences between this and the 1.4 122. If not are there any internal differences? All I can find to say mine was a 160 is on the inside of the service schedule which says scirocco 1.4 118kw but as far as i can see this service boo...

Re: New Scirocco owner

Just to add - The VW dealer wouldn't go higher than £11,250 for the DS3. I paid nearly £18.000 new 1 year ago. Many were saying that DS3 residuals would definitely be better than any other Citroen model. But not so. I should really have got near £12,500 considering the low mileage and nearly new con...

New Scirocco owner

Just bought my first ever VW. Now, I've owned many cars over the years most being sports cars. These have included Audi TT, Ford Puma, MGF, Toyota MR2, new shape Mazda MX5, Chrysler Crossfire and the one I've just traded in the Citroen Dsport DS3. This last car was only i year old but it just wasn't...
