I never get over 44mpg.... Maybe there's something wrong with mine too ;-).

Or I've got a lead right foot....

It's to give the engine a sporty tone.

The BMW m3/m5's have a similar system (through the stereo).

It is purely to make the engine (which is quiet) into something it isn't!

Think of it as a noise enhancer - "audio tuning" for the driver.

Believe me - its possible! (On the track anyway)

I think gps underground or vwnavi sites will help you.

Speed cams don't alert you, but just show up on-screen as points of interest.

Don't get your hopes up about warnings etc... The rns firmware just doesn't do it.

But if you're going the iPod route, you really don't need cd's.....

You could always get a 32gb SD card for music mp3's as well.

I've moved from the rcd to rns, can haven't looked back.

Take a look at GPS-underground or vwnavi sites, you'll find links to download the latest firmwares!

Just found that Firmware 4120 is available..... I've installed it myself, and things seem a little speedier. You also get Radio-Text on FM. As usual, it's a balls ache to burn to CD, then install. I'm just doing my car at the moment - just the bonnet - as a bird decided it was a bit too clean! So far: Clayed, speed detailed. 1 coat of Black-light. 1 coat of AG Ultra Deep Shine polish 1 coat of AG extra gloss protection And once that's dry, 1 coat of megs wax (3 step stuff) Couple of pics.... ...

Just do it!!

I went from a highly tuned cooper s to a 170GT.

Haven't looked back!

I'm on 18's, and had the alignment set back to factory settings.

I wouldn't suggest anything else - front camber is virtually non adjustable, and the factory settings are pretty good!

It shouldn't be knocking on those - I've got the same setup.

Are you sure everything is tight as it can be - nothing left undone?

You certainly don't need shorter drop links.

I'm guessing that the top mounts are loose.
