RNS510 - Picture Navigation

Post by mat »

Stumbled across this earlier today...not sure if ts common knowledge or not!

On http://www.rns510.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (open in chrome and set translate to English on), select your language, then find New Features.

You'll see there's an option for "picture navigation" - clicking on it takes you to the vw German site, where you can upload images, associate them with an address, then save then to an SD card with GPS co-ordinates embedded in the images.

You put the images in a folder called GPS-pictures on the sd card.

Pop the card in the rns510, and navigate to a new destination.

Select SD card, and the thumbnails of your pictures will appear - just hit the one you want, and route planning starts!

Have fun!
