Re: Next car... What 4x4 to get?
Just been in a discovery sport, as said very like an evoque, drives very car like compared to a freelancer and even with the same old 2.2 4 cylinder 190bhp diesel engine (which normally sounds van like), with improved sound insulation and the 9 speed gearbox, engine noise is very much improved. The ...

Re: pros and cons for each car with a 2.0tsi engine?
Finally put up a pic of it, but have gotten rid of the car now and replaced it with an S5 Sportback instead, more practical and sounds better and a bit faster

Re: Next car... What 4x4 to get?
Having the same problem atm, can anybody help? I've had the Freelander for 2 years, and swapped it for a new Hyundai Santa Fe, which is almost two years old and looking to shop it in soon. Candidates are Discovery Sport, Audi Q5 or Ranger Rover Evoque... In the meantime, the other '4x4' I've just s...

Also join TT forum, it's a very active forum with plenty of meets, I still attend allot of them :-) Shak Thanks, it's been great for the last month or so that...

Re: pros and cons for each car with a 2.0tsi engine?
Personally I'd have either the audi TT or audi S3. Thats the only 2 I'd go for when I eventually change my scirooco :-) Shak They're what I'm leaning towards at the moment. But I really don't know why, since I'm not really a badge snob (except Skoda!). On paper, the Seat Leon (based on the new MQB)...

pros and cons for each car with a 2.0tsi engine?
Hi everyone, Discussion time, as all car lovers love to compare, thought I'd open discussion on the forum... I used to own a sirocco gt with the 2.0t dsg and loved the engine. But have since moved on to different cars. Now I'm back in the market for a car which can handle my 6 mile each way a day co...

Re: Scirocco part-ex value march 2011
For some unknown reason the Tiguan never really made it, though there's nothing fundamentally wrong with it! For me it wasn't specifically tyre damage, more ride comfort. There's potholes now which are literally about 30cm deep around here with stones flying out of them when cars go over them! I thi...

Re: Scirocco part-ex value march 2011
Hi, I decided to go for a Landrover freelander 2, 190bhp xs auto. Has all the toys, though I feel the satnav will not be as good as the Vw one. But at least the car is better suited for the really bad bumps and potholes they have around here! :D Will miss the engine sound and the look of the car but...

Re: Scirocco part-ex value march 2011
Must say I was pretty impressed too! Definitely held up percentage wise better than most other cars I've tried to trade in or sell. Only exception was my 18month old puma which only lost 1500 pounds.Kev wrote:I'm quite impressed by that tbh.
Good to know the residuals are holding up pretty well.

Scirocco part-ex value march 2011
Hi guys, Just thought I'd share this with you in case it is of use to people buying and selling. I got recently was offer 18400 part-ex for my car (after pre negotiating discount on new car so should be trade value). This price is for the car to be handed in anytime before the end of march. The spec...

Re: Tips
my only tip is if you are leaving outside be it at home or the airport you reverse it into the space given the brakes disks may rust a little (especially rears) if there is a lot of rain so you can drag the car out and it feels a bit more sympathetic Left mine unused for about 6 weeks and 4 weeks o...

Re: Next car... What 4x4 to get?
Bottom of the range starts from around 30000 so unfortunately a lot more than a freelander
.
Though it does fortunately mean no regrets getting a fully specced up freelander instead for less than the bottom of the range range rover

Tiguan , best depriciation of any new Car last year 68% retained value after 3 years ! and the 170 TDI engine is cheaper to spec on it than the 140 !? ? I'm trying to talk my mum into one instead of her 7th Golf ... Wow, I didn't realise, that's very good (especially if you can get say a 9-10% disc...

Re: Next car... What 4x4 to get?
Yesterday, ordered a Freelander 2 sD4 XS Auto (190bhp) for end of March delivery. They'll give 18,400 for the Roc in March, and 9% discount off list price, plus 0% finance over two years for 40% of the balance. Basically I'll hand my Roc in, and they'll give me a cheque for a few thousand :D and the...

Re: NEW PHONE WHICH ONE?
Where did you find that deal? Is that on one of those web based sites where you have to keep claiming cashback every few months ? Quidco ? I phoned up Orange and told them I was going to leave them, then you can haggle and agree a tariff with them. I do this every 18/24 months when my contract runs...
