Tips

I am going on holiday for a fortnight and will be without my Roc. Just wondered whether there are any tips to make sure it starts when I get back? Or should it be fine and dandy. I am going to give it a clean the day before so hopefully it will be in decent condition when I get back. :p

I left mine for 3.5 weeks while I was in oz last year & didn't even bat an eyelid about doing anything to it, 2 weeks is not worth worrying about.

Put it this way if you come back after 2 weeks and it wont start, then you will be the first to experience that !!

my only tip is if you are leaving outside be it at home or the airport you reverse it into the space given the brakes disks may rust a little (especially rears) if there is a lot of rain so you can drag the car out and it feels a bit more sympathetic

Left mine unused for about 6 weeks and 4 weeks on two occasions last year had no problems, and I left it in P with the handbrake on. The brake discs had gone brown but very soon returned to the normal colour after a quick drive :D

I left mine over Christmas for about a month in all the really cold weather. Like others have said, it didn't bat an eyelid when I started it again. Just to be cautious though, I left mine parked on a hill so I left it in gear. I'd also take it easy both accelerating and braking for the first few miles when you get back - allow the rust to rub off the brake disks.
