How big of a job is it to change the timing tensioner on my Rocco and a ball park idea of the price? No the chain just the tensioner :)

2.0 Diesel is belt driven, not chain driven.
You would change the belt, tensioner and water pump at the same time. Cost is roughly £300 to £400 at an indy.

I think you are getting mixed up with the EA888 petrol engine where there was an issue with the timing chain tensioner failing on early variants.
