Hey guys, I have an Aux-In port on my arm-rest, and I have plugged my phone in via it, but nothing happens if I play music...it just plays on my phone as normal?
Am I meant to enable something?? Can I even play music through it?

Cheers!
Have you tried pulling the Aux end that is plugged into your phone out a bit? Sometimes they only work when not all the way in.
Could be a faulty Aux cable. Have you tried it on another device?
Could use Bluetooth if you have it in your car?
Sorry if this is a daft answer but after you have connected your phone, have you pressed the media button on your head unit and then selected the AUX tab at the top of the screen.
This is normally what you have to do to make it work, the same way that you would select CD, SD Card or internal hard drive (if it has one).
Have you tried connecting another device? I might be wrong here but I'm almost certain that whether or not the AUX is turned on at the headunit, music shouldn't be playing through your phone when there's an AUX cable plugged into it. Also is it definitely an AUX input, or is it a Media input?

It's a simple 3.5mm stereo jack so there is no "intelligence" to it for it to be able to only select certain devices. When you plug the cable into the phone, the phone should stop playing through the phone speaker irrespective if the other end of the cable is plugged in or not. Do headphones work OK on the phone?
