Service Intervals

My Audi A3 used to have a count-down on servicing that you could see by pulling the reset on the odometer out. Does the Scirocco have this or can you even have these long life intervals?

If someone could explain that would be great

I think it's the same as my Mk5 gti: Sitting in the car with the seat belt on and ignition off (so no errors on the MFD) press and hold the odometer reset button whilst you turn on the ignition. The MFD will then show you " days/miles to service "or "service now"
Depends on whether it's set for long life or time and distance as to how much time/distance is left.

Thanks Martdy, so I don't actually have to anything to "choose" which option I am going for? Is it always long life with VAG cars now?

Well,I thought they all came out of the factory with long life oil and set accordingly (my Gti was) but i've just looked at the dealer sticker at the top of the windscreen and it says service due 1 year or 10K .
Perhaps other guys will shed some more light on this. It's probably a case of yet more VW penny pinching!
Doesn't really matter for me though because I'll do about 10k a year in the Roc with freqent stop/starts (and cross country blasts! ) so happy to have an oil change service in a years time.
Edit; just notice you run the diesel so not sure what service regime they are on,

Being honest, its a company car so its not my problem. However, I do take pride in what I drive and like to make sure I look after them.

I'm no expert on this (so please correct me if I'm wrong) but from what I gathered when I bought mine you can choose for fixed time/miles (1yr/10K) or the Longlife option. This option is changed with VAG-com. I took out the service-maintenance package when I bought it and had mine set to Longlife. I think they default to 1yr/10k unless changed.

Checked mine out - sticker only refers to service interval and then after checking the MFD it says the next service is due at 14k - any offers?

deja vu to another post but roc is on variable (A3 was also on variable with similar engine), our GTI is on fixed intervals of 10k
