Thanks trix. Rocs are very rare in Ireland, i have only ever seen 1 on the road, Nearly went for the 2.0 Litre TSI 210 BHP but the road tax is 4 times that of the 170 Diesel, over €630 compared to €156. Crazy or What?

Re: What Colour?
Went for black from Day One. Dealer currently has a Sumatra GTD 170PS and the one before that was blue (Rising, I think, but it's long been sold). Never been keen on silver and if black is good enough for Darth Vader, it's good enough for me.....
Here in Cornwall, everything goes mud brown after about three weeks blitzing the country lanes so white would mean a massive amount of time cleaning, which could otherwise be spent driving! A clean Candy white looks good though and I've not seen any in Viper yet.

Re: What Colour?
hi there,
first post as you can see on my pic on the right, I picked deep black and I've gotten is extremly positive feedback. I knew that a lot of details would be taken away, especially from the front of the car, but I like the agressive look the car gets through the black color. That's the thing people mention the most about it: "wow, in black it really looks agressive. awesome.".
One can't go wrong with black I choose the black/silver interieur to get some "color" into the car. All black would've been too much for my taste. I also like the white color, but the cleaning to me seems to be even worse than with a black car. Pewter Grey is a very underrated color. I've seen it live a few days ago and it fits the Scirocco nicely.
But whatever color you choose, be prepared for many heads turning your way This car surely gets a lot of looks.

NIce alloys EvilMonkey and welcome to the forum
Re: What Colour?
They need to start doing the Scirocco in Carbon Steel Grey. Gorgeous colour. Failing that, pewter grey. They look good in white too, but it might be a bit of a job keeping it clean..

Re: What Colour?
Saw my first Opal silver the other day; shouldn't it just be called beige? Completely underwhelmed.

Re: What Colour?
I didn't get a chance to pick as i bought it off the forecourt, it's deep black which I hate as the bloody thing never looks clean. If I had the choice it would have been white as I've seen a few now and they look the business

Re: What Colour?
Yeah weather is total rubbish. When we ordered ours last week they had white, pewter, rising blue and black to see in the flesh.

Re: What Colour?
When I ordered mine (VW in Milton Keynes) they only had a Viper Green one, which in all honesty doesn't look that bad!Deft wrote:Yeah weather is total rubbish. When we ordered ours last week they had white, pewter, rising blue and black to see in the flesh.

Re: What Colour?
I'm new to the Forum ... and have negotiated a good deal on a Roc, but can identify with the problems you had choosing a colour. I'm right there at the moment - and my head's about to explode with the decisionshooms wrote:Grrrr..... deciding on a colour is pecking my head....
I went originally for black, changed the order to white, changed THAT to sumatra after seeing square eyes pics & others.... now thinking it's a little TOO brown & that white looks proper handsome afterall (especially with the panoroof contrastings along with the headlights / trim)... grrrrr
My dealer's gonna hate me... saying that my delivery date isn't until March so I think I'm safe to change...
I notice that after you considered black / white / sumatra, you decided on blue.
Since those are three of the colours I would be happy with (white / blue / sumatra):
1) Did you see Sumatra in the flesh and decided it was brown under too many lighting conditions? (It's my top preference at the moment)?
2) Why blue, since it didn't feature on your earlier list?
Many thanks ... .
Re: What Colour?
hate to tell you this searching' but shrooms hasn't been on here in absolutely ages!! so I can't see you getting a response from him.
regarding sumatra's colouring its not brown; in dull light it looks very very dark steel grey almost but not quite black, & in bright direct light it has a coppery/gold/minky tinge http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... 311#p47372" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

eta: in fact just look at the pic in my signature, thats part of the photo that sold sumatra to me
