In middle of Kent, its generally BMW's that are unmarked. Things like 5 series and X3's. Very well unmarked. Seen random makes though, heard those ones are cars they've taken.
Any fellow 'rocco drivers up in the midlands area who wants to put his/her foot down a bit may wanna watch out for an unmarked police mk5 golf r32 reg BX58 WVT which i saw pull someone over one the M40 south-bound earlier on today.

Around the Maidstone: Kent area in the past 2 weeks have seen (all black) a Seat Leon, BMW M3, Ford Galaxy (yes i double looked too) and a Volvo Estate
Theres loads around Maidstone. Quite a selection of BMW's and a few Audi's which all come from the traffic police place near Aylesford. Almost all I've seen are black with tinted windows. X3, X5, 3 and 5 series, A6...
The smell of bacon was wafting out of a Black BMW 5 Series on the M6 this morning!

Have seen the BMW 5 Series on the M6 before. A friend who left my work to join the force and met up with him a year later and he said they vary rarely have cars over 5 years, so anything that is a 56 plate and before should be safe. Also said that around 80 on normal motorways and 90 on the toll have been known to be let go.
Both dependant on how you're driving of course - not doing cutting in, undertaking, weaving in and out, not indicating etc. He put it "If you're doing 90 on the toll and it's not hectic at all and you safely move back instead of lane hogging, you're more safe than an idiot doing 70 and trying to cut and dive through the traffic". - He's not driving, but is around on the traffic cops doing his tests.
By the way, in the mids (not sure they do the Motorway or not), but around Wednesbury their Police Station has a Mitsubishi Evolution X and 2 Impreza WRX's. I got pulled in My ST once for accelerating too hard (although I never went over 30!) and going round a speed bump up a dip in the gutter (doh!).
